Open Assistant is a conversational AI tool that aims to provide amazing conversational AI to everyone. The project is in the early stages of development, based on established research in applying RLHF to large language models. The code and models are licensed under the Apache 2.0 license, and the training data will also be released under CC BY 4.0. Open Assistant will be free to use and modify, and there will be versions that can run on consumer hardware.
